Eligibility Criteria for JEE Main Examination
Aspirants who want to apply against Joint Entrance Examination; they should have completed their final examination of Class 12th or its equivalent qualifying examination. Those appearing in these examinations in 2017 can also appear in JEE (Advanced) – 2017 provisionally.
Contender’s date of birth should fall on or after 1st October, 1992 (for general candidates) and 1st October 1987 (for SC, ST and PwD candidates). Candidates need to secure at least 70% in the 12th class examination, or be in the top 20 percentile in the 12th class examination for getting admissions in IITs/NITs/IIITs and other CFTIs.
Mode of JEE Examination
The Paper-1 (B.E./B. Tech.) of JEE (Main) will be held in two separate modes i.e. Offline mode Pen and Paper Based Examination mode and Online mode in Computer Based Examination.
However, Paper-2 (B. Arch./B. Planning) of JEE (Main) will be schedule only in Pen and Paper based examination mode. A candidate will opt for either Pen and Paper Based or Computer Based examination modes for Paper-1 (B. E./B. Tech.) only.

JEE Main Exam Pattern

Paper 1 is conducted for B. E/ B.tech it will be conducted in both online exam mode and offline exam mode. Paper 2 is for B.arch/ B. Planning. Candidates will be grant admissions to Undergraduate Engineering Programs at NITs, IIITs, Other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions, Institutions funded by participating State Governments, and other Institutions on the basis of their performance in Intermediate, that is class 12 or its equivalent qualifying Examination and on the basis of marks obtained in the Joint Entrance Examination, JEE (Main).
Procedure to Submit JEE Main Exam Application Form
Step 1: First of all, log in to web portal of association by accessing through online mode that is jeemain.nic.in
Step 2: Once you reach the homepage, move your cursor to left side of homepage and press on “Information Bulletin JEE Main 2017” tab.
Step 3: On pressing the above given tab, a new page showing full fledges details will appear facing you.
Step 4: Go through details and information with care. After that, follow ‘‘Apply for JEE (Main)-2017’.
Step 5: Now, fill JEE Main Application Form with true details in proper manner without any mistake. Aspirants must have hold AADHAAR card issued by UIDAI. However, individuals are required to input AADHAAR number, name, date of birth & gender which will be validated with the UIDAI’s data.
Step 6: Now, upload digital images of Photograph, Signature and Left Hand Thumb Impression.
Step 7: At last, pay fee using suitable mode and re-read filled form once again.
Step 8: Finally, submit dully filled application form and take a print out of computer generated acknowledgment slip after successful submission of data and payment of fee for future reference.
