All applicants are informed that the Sikkim TET 2017 scheduled for 19th February 2017. Due to some reasons, now Sikkim Teacher Eligibility Test has been re-scheduled. Now the exam is going to be held on 19th March 2017. You may collect your admit card by visiting the official website to appear in the examination.


STET Eligibility Criteria

Primary Teacher for Classes I-V (Primary Stage): Candidates who are applying for Sikkim TET must have possessed Senior Secondary or its equivalent with at least 50% marks for unreserved candidates, 45 % in case of SC, ST, OBC (Central), OBC (State). Individuals should have passed in final year of 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education (D. El. Ed) or 4 years Bachelor of Elementary Education.

Graduate Teacher for classes VI-VIII (Elementary Stage): Aspirants should have done B.A/B.Sc. from a recognized university or institute with good academic records and must have secured 50% marks for unreserved candidates (45 % for SC, ST, OBC (Central), OBC). Contenders should have passed in final year of 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education (D. El. Ed.) or 1 /2 year Bachelor in Education (B. Ed.).

Sikkim TET Application Fee

Contenders who are going to apply against Sikkim Teacher Eligibility Test have to deposit an amount of Rs.400/- as examination fee. Payment of examination fee can be remit using Bank draft drawn in favour of Joint Director/Exam, HRDD in any branch of IDBI Bank in the State (Account Number:0108102000006767).

Sikkim TET Exam Syllabus

The STET Exam Syllabus and Exam Pattern is given below. The questions will be asked in the examination will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) with four alternatives out of which one answer will be correct. Each right question will carry one mark. Applicants are informed that there is no negative marking. The examining body should strictly adhere to the structure and content of the STET specified below.

Paper I: For those want to become teachers for classes I-V.

Paper II: For those want to teach classes between VI and VIII.

Paper I and II: Those interested in teaching from Class I to VIII will have to appear and qualify in both the papers.

Sikkim TET Exam Pattern

Aspirants who are going to appear in Sikkim Teacher Eligibility Test must be searching for exam pattern, as it plays a vital role in scoring good marks.
