Eligibility Criteria for CPT 

Individuals who want to apply against CA CPT Exam must have registered with ICAI and meet the eligibility requirements. Contenders who are going to apply against CPT Registration, they can register for Common Proficiency Test after completing Grade 10 and give the examination after passing 10+ 2.

CPT Registration Fees

Applying contenders can remit the amount of application fee in the form of Demand Draft  (DD) drawn in favour of “The Secretary, The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, payable at concerned Regional Office i.e. Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Kanpur or New Delhi”.

However, if CA CPT Registration form is downloaded from the web page of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, individuals have to sum up Rs. 100/- or US $10 along with Common Proficiency Course (CPC) Registration fee for supply of a copy of the Prospectus along with the study package.

CA CPT Exam Pattern

This exam will be of objective type having multiple choice question answers. Questions of the paper will be comprises of four subjects that is further divided into two sections. First section includes accounting carrying 60 Marks along with Mercantile Laws with a weightage of 40 Marks. However, second section will include Economics and Quantitative Aptitude carrying 50 Marks.

Question paper will consists of 200 multiple choice questions. There will be negative marking for every wrong answer. As 0.25 marks, are deducted for wrong attempt. Individuals have to obtain a minimum of 30 % marks in each Section and a minimum of 50% in aggregate, in all the four Sections to pass the Common Proficiency Test.

Process to fill CPT Registration Form for June

Step 1>> Visit the Official Website

First of all, individuals have to reach the official website of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India by accessing via online mode and that is Once you visit the homepage, take your cursor towards top of homepage and strike on “Login/Register” tab as shown in below given image.

Step 2 >> Register Yourself 

After pressing, on “Login/Register” tab, a drop down list will appear as shown above. Now, individuals are required to hit on “Register Now” tab. On hitting this tab, a new window asking some details will open on your computer screen. Aspirants have to fill examination name, Registration No, Date of Birth, Mobile No, Landline No, Primary Email, Re-Enter Primary Email and Secondary Email. After filling all details, hit on “Register” tab.

Step 3 >> Generation of Password

Once you submit all the asked information, you will obtain the password with which you can login into your account. However, the login ID is your Registration Number. In case, if your Date of Birth shows wrong, then don’t worry. In this case, aspirants can register under ‘Provisional Registration’.

Step 4 >> Verification of Mobile Number and Email

After obtaining password with which you can login into your account, you need to login. Once you login using generated password, you are required to verify your Mobile Number as well as Email. Individuals who want to edit details, have to press on “Edit” button which is located at right side of that page as shown in below stated image.

Step 5 >> Inputting details in Application Form

At last, aspirants have to input asked details as stated below in provided blank boxes in CPT application form such as Date of Birth, Name, Educational Qualifications info, etc.
