Union Public Service Commission conducts several exams every year to recruit eligible candidates on vacant post. This year also UPSC invites applications from productive candidates to fill application forms for IAS Officer Post before 06/03/2018. After filling and submitting application forms candidate must have to appear for Preliminary Examination on 03/06/2018. Candidates who qualify preliminary examination then will be called for mains examination on 01/10/2018. Final selection of the candidate is based on his/her performance in both exams. Procedure to fill IAS Application Form:
Firstly candidates need to visit the official website of Union Public Service Commission that is www.upsc.gov.in. After that navigate the home page and hit advertisement option in recruitment section under menu bar. Now choose the suitable link provided and hit that link. After that read the given advertisement carefully and check your eligibility. If you found yourself suitable, then log in to upsconline.nic.in. Now you reach the new home page. There you need to hit “ONLINE APPLICATION FOR VARIOUS EXAMINATIONS OF UPSC” link. After that choose the suitable post link and tap apply online option. Now fill the required details and also upload scanned copy of relevant documents along with recent passport size photograph and signatures. After that read your application form and tap submit option. At last take hard copy of it for further use.

IAS Civil Services Application Fee:
Candidates who are going to apply for IAS Recruitment shall have to pay application fee of Rs. 100/- by the way of net banking/or by using credit or debit cards or through any SBI branch/ State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur/Sate Bank of Hyderabad/State Bank of Mysore/ State Bank of Patiala /State Bank of Travancore. Female candidates and candidates belongs to SC/ST/OBC category are exempted from payment of application fee.

A candidate must either be : (i) a citizen of India, or (ii) a subject of Bhutan, or (iii) a subject of Nepal, or (iv) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before the 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or (v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka and East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire and Ethiopia or Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India. Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) and (v) above shall be a person in whose favor a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India. Certificate of eligibility will not, however, be necessary in the case of candidates who are Gorkha subjects of Nepal.

Age Limitation, Sex, Marital Status and educational qualification
Only male candidates who are unmarried can fill the application form, females candidates are not eligible to apply for Civil Services Prelims Exam if they fill the application form their form will be rejected. Regarding age criteria aspirants whose age lie between 21-32 years only they can appear for the examination. Age relaxation to reserved categories will be as per the Guidelines of Government of India.
SC/ST will get 05 years relaxation in upper age and OBC will get 03 years upper age relaxation. Candidates who get domiciled in the State of Jammu and Kashmir during the period from the 1st January, 1980 to the 31st day of December, 1989; domiciled in the State of Jammu and Kashmir during the period from the 1st January, 1980 to the 31st day of December, 1989 will get relaxation up to 05 years. Candidates who want to fill IAS Application Form should have possessed degree from any incorporated university.
Candidates applying for UPSC Civil Services Recruitment shall be selected from two stages. Stage I comprise of Preliminary Examination which is Objective Type Basis. Candidates who qualify Stage I then will be called for Stage II. Stage II comprise of Mains Examination which includes written examination and personal interview. Final selection of the candidate is based on his/her overall performance.
