Lower age limit of candidates applying for www.upsc.gov.in Notification must be 21 years and upper age limit should be 32 years. Reservations in age will be allowed to aspirants that belong to the reserved categories such as SC/ST and OBC. Five years relaxation will be given to Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe Category applicants and by three years to Other Backward Classes.

UPSC IFS Application Fee
Contenders who have decided to apply against Indian Forest Service Exam are required to remit an amount of Rs.100/- towards application fee while filling IFS Application Form. However, reserved category applicants such as Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe Category, Other Backward Classes, Female /Physically Handicapped candidates are exempted from paying application fee. Payment of application fee can be deposited in cash at any branch of SBI. Applying individuals can also remit fee using net banking facility of State Bank of India/State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur/State Bank of Hyderabad/State Bank of Mysore/ State Bank of Patiala/State Bank of Travancore or through online mode via Debit Card/ Visa /Credit Card while filling IFS Application Form.

UPSC IFS Exam Pattern
Candidates who are going to appear in Indian Forest Service Examination must be looking for IFS Exam Pattern. So, contenders for your ease we have brought detailed info about exam. Exam will be organized in two phases such as Civil Services Examination (Preliminary) and Indian Forest Service Examination (Main).
Firstly, individuals are required to appear for Civil Services Examination (Preliminary) on 03/06/2018. Question paper will be of objective in nature having multiple choice question answers. Preliminary examination will further divided into two exams of 200 marks each. Question paper will set in English and Hindi language. There will be negative marking for incorrect answers, as 1/3 marks will get deducted for wrong response.
Those who qualify Prelims become eligible for UPSC IFS Main Exam which is scheduled to be held on 02/12/2018. There are about six papers and all papers are required to be answered in English only. Paper I will consist of General English having 300 marks whereas Paper II will be of General Knowledge carrying 300 marks. However, in Papers III, IV, V and VI contenders need to choose any two subjects from below given list of optional subjects.

IFS Pre Exam Centers
Candidates applying for Indian forest service shall first have to fill online application form. Then selection panel will shortlist candidates on the basis of their academic records. After that candidates who get shortlisted through screening of application forms then will be called for preliminary examination on 03/06/2018. Candidates going to appear for preliminary examination shall download their admit cards from the official website as without hall ticket no one is allowed to enter into examination hall. After that candidates have to appear for Mains Examination on 02/12/2018. Candidates who will be selected through mains examination then will be called for personal interview on scheduled date. After that candidates will be selected from personal interview for document verification process. Final selection of the candidate is based on his/her overall performance.
Individuals who are able to qualify Preliminary as well as Main Examination need to appear for further process that includes personality test/interview. Personality test/interview will be of 300 marks.
