KSET 2017 Eligibility Criteria

  • Aspirants who are going to submit KSET Application Form 2017 must have passed in Master’s Degree OR equivalent examination with minimum 55% marks (50% in case of SC, ST, Category I, IIA, IIB, IIIA, IIIB and PWD candidates) from universities / institutions recognized by UGC New Delhi, in the subjects opted for KSET.
  • Aspirants who are going to appear in Master’s Degree Final Year Exam are also eligi9ble to apply for KSET Notification.
  • Candidates shall appear for KSET in their relevant subject of their post-graduation only, in case the candidate did not find the subject of his post graduation in the list of KSET subjects, the candidate may appear in UGC-NET / UGC-CSIR NET which is held twice a year.
  • There is no age  limitation to fill Karnataka SET Application Form.

Note!! Candidate who became eligible in Previous KSET TESTs are not eligible to apply again in the same subject. If any candidate found to be eligible in previous KSET tests and reappearing on same subject in current KSET, their candidature will be cancelled and the previous eligibility is withdrawn through de-notification.

KSET Examination Centres

Applicants are informed that the Karnataka SET Exam is going to be held on 11 KSET Nodal Centers as stated below. Aspirants have to select any one Test Center for KSET examination. The exam centre once selected it will not be changed under any circumstances.

KSET 2017 Exam Pattern

The KSET test will be comprising of three papers. The test for all the three papers will consist of only Multiple-choice Questions (MCQ). The test will be held on 31st December 2017 in two separate sessions as mentioned below:

Paper-I: General Paper is on Teaching and Aptitude

  • This Paper shall be of general nature and is intended to assess the teaching/research aptitude of the candidate.
  • It will primarily be designed to test reasoning ability, comprehension, divergent thinking and general awareness of the candidate.
  • In this section, aspirants need to attempt 50 questions out of 60 questions.

Paper-II: Subject Paper

  • This Paper shall consist of questions based on the subject selected by the candidate.
  • Each paper will consist of a Test Booklet containing 50 compulsory Multiple-choice questions (MCQ) of two marks each and maximum marks will be 100.

How to Fill Karnataka SET 2017 Application Form?

Step 1: First of all, appliers are required to access via online mode and need to reach the web portal which is kset.uni-mysore.ac.in

Step 2: In menu bar, you need to press on “Notification” tab then a drop down list will appear aspirants are needed to hit at “Notification of KSET 2017” option.

Step 3: On pressing this tab, you will re-direct on a new page. Here you need to select “Download in English” link.

Step 4: After that, KSET Notification will display. Read whole Karnataka SET Exam Notification carefully and completely. Eligible candidates who fulfill stipulated educational qualification norms can apply for Karnataka State Eligibility Test.

Step 5: Now, come back on home page and press on “Apply Online” tab presented at the menu bar

Step 6: At last, fill KSET Online Application Form will required details. Make the payment of application fee and select centre according to your choice.

Step 7: Now upload required documents, certificates, photograph and signature.
