Ministry of Minority Affairs is going to provide Minority Scholarship 2018, to the financially weaker students so as to give them financial support. Those Minority Class students who want to do higher studies but are not able to do so they can take aid from Minority Pre/Post Matric Scheme.

To apply for Minority Scholarship 2018-19, you need to fill Minority Scholarship Online Application Form 2018 through proper channel on or before closing date. The Minority Scholarship scheme at pre-matric level gives confidence to the parents from minority communities to send their children to school, to support their children to complete school education.

Minority Scholarship 2018

Eligibility to apply for Minority Scholarship 2018

  • Students of class 11th, 12th, graduate, post graduate, technical, or vocational courses, M.Phil or Ph.D are eligible to fill Minority Scholarship 2018 Application Form.
  • The students belong to the minority community (Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, Buddhists, Jains and Zoroastrians/Parsis) and who have scored at least 50% marks or equivalent in the previous exam are also eligible to apply for minorityaffairs.gov.in scholarship
  • The annual income of the family should not exceed INR 2 lac from all the sources and the scholarship can be given to maximum of two children of the same family

Pre Matric Minority Scholarship 2018

Pre Matric Scholarship for minority will be awarded for studies in a government or private school from class I to class X in India.

Post Matric Minority Scholarship 2018

Post Matric Scholarship will be awarded for studies in a government or private school after class X for classes XI and XII, under-graduate, post graduate studies in India.

It also cover technical and vocational courses in Industrial Training Institutes/Industrial Training Centres affiliated with the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) of classes XI and XII level.

Period of minority scholarship 2018

It will be provided for the entire course. Though, preservation grant will be given for a period not exceeding 10 months only in an academic year.

Selection Procedure of minority scholarship 2018

Students will be selected for the minority scholarship scheme on the basis of completion prescribed eligibility. Preference will be given to the students from BPL families having the lowest income in the ascending order. The renewal applications would be fully exhausted before the new applications are considered.

Rate of Minority Scholarship for Pre Matric Students

How to fill Minority Scholarship form 2018?

Step 1: Visit to the minority scholarship portal that is www.minorityaffairs.gov.in to fill the minority scholarship 2018-19 application form

Step 2: On the home page hit the “scheme/ performance” link

Step 3: Then press the link “Scholarship Schemes”. Further minority scholarship application form download by pressing “Pre-matric/ Post-matric Scholarship Scheme” link

Step 4: Read this notification carefully before applying. Now fill it carefully after ensuring their eligibility.

Step 5: Submit form at the same office before closing date along with the essential particulars.

Documents Required for Minority Scholarship 2018
